The
Cortona Contemporary Music Festival guarantees the public performance
of music by composers who enroll to attend the festival for a period of
five to ten days. Composers interested in attending may find more
information by clicking on the composition and registration tabs above.
Composers who are unable to attend are encouraged to submit scores for
possible performance at the 2007 Festival. Works should be scored for
solo or chamber settings of the following instruments: piano, violin,
guitar, or flute. Pieces may contain multi-movements, but should fall
within a five to eight minute range. Works utilizing electronic media
are also welcome. We make every attempt to provide
our participant performers the opportunity to premiere a new work.
Therefore, only those submissions that have as yet been unperformed will be considered.
There is no fee required to submit your work. Selected
composers will be featured on the festival website.
Submission Guidelines
